When ripple is worth it, and when plain is enough

By

A ripple glass is two parts: a white inner glass and a kraft outer sleeve with a fluted wall. The flutes hold air between the drink and the hand, so a hot drink is easier to hold.

Where ripple makes sense

Ripple suits hot drinks that are held rather than drunk at once: coffee carried out of a café, tea at a standing event. We make it at 150, 200, 250 and 350 ml, on 405 GSM board up to 200 ml and 495 GSM from 250 ml.

If customers ask for a second glass to hold a hot one, the ripple glass replaces the pair.

Where plain is enough

A 65 ml cutting chai is finished in a minute and rarely needs a sleeve. Cold drinks don't need insulation either. For those, a plain or printed glass costs less board and packs more glasses into a case: our small plain sizes ship 5,000 to a case, while ripple ships between 1,000 and 2,000.

Ripple glasses are not printed; they come plain in their kraft sleeve. If you want your brand on the glass, choose Printed Regular or Printed Premium and preview it in the Logo Studio.
